Since the Battle of White Plains was the very first reenactment I took part in (October 1972) I have always had a interest in the actual battle. This game captured the terrain perfectly. In addition Doug and Maria were great people and just really fun to talk to. Both were very knowledgeable about the battles and she grew up in a house on the field of battle.
Nick - very impressive. It seems to be a popular option - The British Grenadier Scenarios say it (well Chatterton Hill to be more precise) is a good starter because of the variety of troops used. Steve Smith (Steve's Paintingshed blog) put on a spectacular version at the latest Partizan. It's shaping up to be a spectacular AWI (AR) year. Farqs

ReplyDeleteYes it is. One if the individuals putting in the game, Maria lived in a house in the battlefield so they added it to the game.
